Dear Parents/ Guardians,
We welcome you to the new
academic session of 2016- 2017 at The City
School Prep Boys Section. We look forward to collaborate
with the parents and work in close association to prepare our students as
confident and independent individuals by using diverse and innovative teaching methodologies
as well as inculcating good moral and ethical values. We would like to share important
information with you which will help in our students’ learning throughout the
year.
Appointment with Teachers
We welcome your suggestions that concern the academic progress and
well-being of our students. To meet the HM/SM and teachers of your child you
can take an appointment from the Section’s office. The appointment will be
given after 2:30 p.m. Parents are requested not to communicate with the
teachers unofficially without informing the Section Head.
Homework
Main objective of homework for students is to revise and practice
the skills learned in classroom and to help them work independently. A proper homework schedule is planned for the
students according to the policy. The parents are requested to facilitate the students
in completing their assigned tasks by ensuring that they have a set timing and
place for doing their homework.
Attendance
Research has proved that regular attendance of students is directly
related to their academic performance in school. Parents are urged to ensure
that their child regularly attends the school and is only absent if it is absolutely
unavoidable.
Value Education
In The City School , we give great
importance to the values that we all deem are important to us, our school, our
community and our nation. Our values are reflected in our philosophy,
curriculum, classrooms and relationships and are expressed in the everyday
interactions inside and outside the school. Each month we introduce a vale as a
theme. Our curriculum is designed to integrate these values in all subjects.
