Sports Week 2019

Playing a sport requires a lot of time and energy. Sports require memorization, repetition and learning skill sets that are directly relevant to classwork. Also, the determination and goal-setting skills sports require can be transferred to the classroom. Keeping in mind the aforementioned benefits “Sports Week” was organised by the Prep Boys Section. The students participated in inter class Cricket, Football matches and Tug of War. The Sports Finale was celebrated on Friday, 8^th February 2019. The day was charged with excitement and enthusiasm as the students played the final matches.

The winning teams were awarded with trophies in the closing ceremony which marked the end of the Sports Week. This opportunity to participate in team sports provided students with valuable skills that will take them beyond the field, pitch, and court.

CEATS Mathematics Competition

The students of the Prep Boys Section participated in the CEATS mathematics Competition which was held in November 2018. Abbas Ali of class 6-T was declared the National Winner and received Rs.  10000 and a shield for his outstanding performance. Said Ali was awarded the Teacher of the Year Shield.

Winners of ICT ICATS Competition

The Prep Boys Section proudly announces the results of ICT ICATS Competition. 

Ali Arshad of class 6-C won the 1st position at Institution level.

                              Rouhaan Zeeshan of class 6-T won the 1st position at Institution level.

 S. Hassan Salman of class 6-E won the 1st position at Institution level.

Mehfil-e-Zikr-e-Nabi

The CitySchool  grooms their children in the most positive manner that is through the teachings of our Holy Prophet(P.B.U.H). The Prep Boys Section organised a spiritual Mehfil-e-Milad on Wednesday, 28^th November, 2018.  It started with the recitation and translation of the Holy Quran followed by a touching Hamd. Several poignant naats were recited by the students which mesmerised the audience. The milad ended with dua and sweets were distributed among the students and guests. The Network Academic Coordinator Dr Azra Shehryar praised the efforts of the staff and students.

Urdu Declamation Contest

To divert energies of students towards healthy activities and to promote patriotism, communication skills and critical thinking among the students, Prep Boys Section organised an Urdu Declamation Contest on Tuesday, November 20, 2018. Students from all sections of Class 6,7 and 8 participated enthusiastically and presented thought-provoking speeches which were thoroughly enjoyed by the audience.

Mr. Naveed Ahmed and Ms.Ghazala Nadeem were invited to judge the contest. 

The efforts of the young orators were highly admired and appreciated by the guests and judges who presented the winners with shields and all the participants with certificates.
